Join the Machias Arts Council Writer’s Circle — affectionately known as “Shut Up and Write (The Procrastinators)” — a welcoming monthly gathering for writers of all genres and experience levels.
We’ll meet on the last Monday of each month at 5 PM to carve out time for writing, share works-in-progress, exchange ideas, and encourage one another through the creative process.
Whether you’re working on a novel, short story, poetry, memoir, or simply trying to build a consistent writing habit, this is a space to:
Share your work and receive supportive feedback
Develop characters, settings, and ideas
Work through creative blocks
Exchange tips about writing, publishing, and process
Connect with other local writers
No pressure. No judgment. Just time set aside to write.
