MAC is offering two paid arts internships for ages 16–24 in partnership with Healthy Acadia. Gain hands-on experience with exhibits, events, gallery operations, and social media.

 

Paid Internship Opportunities

Build experience in the arts while helping creativity thrive in Downeast Maine.

The Machias Arts Council is partnering with Healthy Acadia to offer two paid internship positions for young people ages 16–24 through the Maine Career Exploration Work Experience Program.

​

Interns will gain hands-on experience with gallery operations, community events, arts programming, and communications while working alongside artists and community members at the Machias Arts Center.

​

Internship activities may include:

​

  • Setting up and taking down art exhibitions

  • Assisting visitors and helping maintain the gallery

  • Creating social media content

  • Helping organize and participate in community events
