First Friday Art Nights transform the Machias Arts Center into a lively gathering place featuring local artists, live music, food, hands-on creative activities, and plenty of opportunities to connect with neighbors and visitors.

Kick off summer with First Friday Art Nights at the Machias Arts Center — a free community celebration where creativity comes to life.
Each Friday, the gallery and surrounding space transform into a lively arts experience featuring local artists, live demonstrations, music, food, and hands-on activities for all ages.
Browse unique artwork, meet the artists behind the creations, try a new creative activity, enjoy local food, and spend an evening connecting with neighbors and visitors from across Downeast Maine.
Whether you come to shop, create, listen, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.
Admission is always free.
