Discover the creative possibilities of pique assiette, a style of mosaic art that transforms broken pieces of ceramic, china, pottery and other found objects into something entirely new.
In this hands-on workshop with Aida Wojcik, participants will create a landscape, portrait or still life using ceramic shards arranged and adhered to a substrate.
Ceramic shards, substrates, adhesive and tools are provided. Participants are also encouraged to bring broken ceramic pieces of their own to incorporate into their artwork, along with a photo of the landscape, portrait or still life they would like to create.
Meet the Instructor
Aida Wojcik is an international painter, mosaicist, and street artist whose work has been exhibited in Poland, Portugal, Spain, the United States, and Taiwan. Drawing on diverse artistic influences and years of creative experience, she enjoys helping students build confidence while discovering their own artistic style.
