Move, breathe, and reconnect through a calming mind-body practice. Join the Machias Arts Council for a relaxing and restorative Tai Chi session led through Healthy Acadia’s Community Tai Chi Program.


Tai Chi combines slow, flowing movements with mindful breathing to support balance, flexibility, strength, and overall wellbeing. This gentle practice is designed for a wide range of ages and abilities — no previous experience needed.


Whether you’re looking to try something new, reduce stress, improve mobility, or simply enjoy a peaceful hour with others in the community, this session offers a welcoming space to move at your own pace.

What to Expect

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and thin-soled shoes suitable for movement.

A $10 donation is suggested to help support MAC’s programs.


About Healthy Acadia

This community Tai Chi session is offered free of charge through Healthy Acadia’s Community Tai Chi Program, which helps empower people to improve their health and wellbeing through accessible movement and mindfulness practices.


Pre-registration is recommended but not required.


If there is strong community interest, Tai Chi may become a regular offering at the Machias Arts Center — come experience it and help us build a healthier, more connected community!
